About Osiris
Osiris is a desktop app for Claude Code on Windows, macOS and Linux — an independent product from Germany. It brings what you need for coding with Claude into one window: your rules and notes, a memory of earlier conversations, a chat, a terminal, an editor and a Studio for code projects. Who provides Osiris is stated in the legal notice.
What Osiris is
On your computer, Osiris consists of three parts: a window of its own (an Electron shell), a local server that only listens on 127.0.0.1, and the interface that server provides. Osiris has no AI model of its own and trains none. The answers come from Claude, made by Anthropic, through the Claude Code command-line tool — with your own access: a Claude plan that includes Claude Code, or an API key. How that looks in practice is described on a graphical interface for Claude Code.
The app is called Osiris. Its home is osirisui.com — hence the short form Osiris UI. The app and this website are in English and German, and Claude answers in the language you write in.
Where it stands
Osiris is still in development; the official launch is coming soon. We will announce the date as soon as it is fixed. Until then you can already try the preview. These parts can be used today:
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ultrabrain | Your rules, notes and decisions as linked Markdown files, which Claude follows. |
| Memory | Earlier conversations, condensed into wiki pages after Andrej Karpathy's LLM wiki pattern. |
| Chat | Conversations with Claude Code, with model, effort and permission mode to choose. |
| Terminal | A built-in terminal; typing osiris there starts a session in the style of Claude Code. |
| Editor | Text files with tabs, search and replace — encoding and line endings stay as they were. |
| Explore | Share projects with rules and notes, and bring in those of others. |
| Social | Friends, direct messages and groups, in the app and in the customer area. |
| Plugin for IntelliJ | A chat with Claude inside IntelliJ IDEA. A ZIP download from this website, not in the JetBrains Marketplace. |
These parts are in beta — they work, but are still changing:
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Voice with Jarvis Beta | The voice assistant: it opens views, starts chats and builds projects in Studio. Speech recognition runs locally by default. |
| Studio Beta | Java and Kotlin projects with Maven or Gradle, in IntelliJ or VS Code style — including Minecraft plugins. |
| Earth Beta | A holographic globe with your location, places and news. |
| Desktop Beta | Osiris colours for the taskbar and Start, and moving wallpapers — Windows 11 only. |
Systems
- Windows 10 and 11 — a setup that installs per user, without administrator rights. On the first start, Windows SmartScreen may ask once.
- macOS 12 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel — signed ad hoc, not notarized by Apple. On the first start, choose Open Anyway once.
- Linux —
.deb,.pkg.tar.zstand.tar.gz, each for amd64 and arm64.
Updates arrive when you open the app. Osiris only installs a release whose signature and checksum check out. The installers are in the download section.
How we work
- Your files stay with you — Ultrabrain and Memory are Markdown files in your Documents folder, readable without Osiris, and your chats are kept in a local database. The Osiris server receives your sign-in and licence check, the check for updates and maintenance when you open the app, and otherwise only what you send on purpose: Social messages with their attachments, projects you publish in Explore, and feedback.
- What goes to Anthropic — your message, the rules and notes attached from the Ultrabrain, the Memory map and the pages Claude asks for, and your attachments, through Claude Code with your own access. More on AI transparency.
- No tracking on this website — no analytics, no advertising and no scripts or fonts from other sites. What it does store is listed in the privacy policy.
- Clear costs — Anthropic bills your Claude usage directly; Osiris sells no tokens. Osiris itself is free for 3 months without payment details, then €4.99 a month, sold by Tebex as merchant of record and cancellable every month. Details are in the terms of service.
